As leaders, do you ever find yourself afraid, abused, broken, fearful or feeling hopeless and insignificant? Do you at times feel lonely or rejected? Have you been in a place where the enemy has whispered a lie to you? As a kingdom leader, ordained minister, and someone who served other pastors and ministry leaders, I have been wounded and re-traumatized by different events that happened within the organizations in which I served. I believed the lie that as a leader I needed to forget how I felt, be silent and continue serving. I remained silent and hid behind the mask that all was well. Many times, as leaders we wear masks to hide our true emotions and feelings but doing this only isolate us and brings offense where we are unable to function properly in our calling. This has caused us to silent our voices and ignore, downplay, or hide our God-given abilities, influence, gifts, and dreams. As parents, families, leaders, teachers, business owners, entrepreneurs, it is important that we become aware of our own emotions and others' emotions, so we can create a physical, social and emotional safe place for others.

In order to show up and be leaders of influence, we must have a community where we can talk about the traumas leaders have been through and how can we heal from those traumas and build safe communities. God created community so that we can actually commune with others. Many women know they were created and commissioned to lead, but they are often wounded, left feeling stuck, overlooked, and limited. Only when we as women choose to face our stories of discomfort and pain can we truly be unleashed to own our voices, lead from a healed place and dominate every area of influence. It is up to each leader, organization and business community as a whole to inspire the UNLEASHING movement forward.
